Warning fanfic reader! Danger! Danger! Major rewrite of Moon Kingdom history here folks. The series is not the same and most of the characters aren't the same either, Queen Beryl, for instance, used to be Sailor Ganymede. Major rewrite of Ranma 1/2 history as well, Ranma is now and ever shall be the strongest immortal in the galaxy second only to Serenity in power. Please forgive me for being a 'Ranma the God' supporter, but don't despair just yet, Ranma's going through a lot of pain. Where Are We Now? By Dr. Suekeiichi Kaiton ---A long time ago--- Sailor Ganymede strode through the halls of Eblis, a major city of Pluto, deep in thought. She was a tall woman with a regal face, a face that carried a haunted look at the moment, dark carmine hair cascaded down her back to her thin waist. She wore golden armlets that held more monetary value than a small colony on Earth, in short, she was a vain person. One could go as far as to say that vanity was instilled in her at birth, they wouldn't be wrong. Ganymede was born from poor parents in a poor village, after she was recruited and trained as a senshi, the family lived in ostentatious wealth. Now she was dealing with a dilemma, one which would have lasting effects on the cosmos. To be or not to be, to ask or to ask not, rhetorical questions abound in history but very few people choose the right path, she was no exception. In the asteroid belt there dwelled an evil Kami named Metallia, who would stop at nothing to rule the cosmos with a dark and cruel fist, in direct contrast to Queen Serenity of the Moon Kingdom, whom Ganymede worked for. On a routine survey of the system a blip was detected and Ganymede sent to investigate, Metallia was waiting. She promised the scout power beyond that of even Serenity and high status in the Negaverse realms. Pluto knew what the outcome would be and had been, so she was the logical choice to ask for advice. Knowing Pluto, she would push one towards the opposite track taken less frequently. Simply do the opposite of whatever she said. The massive black onyx door opened to the Time Gate and Pluto's throne room, and Ganymede stepped forward into the darkness, and into her destiny. Little did she know that for once Pluto would speak plainly. ---Now--- "Honturi. Come forth." Beryl's moist, purple lips invited him onward. A shimmering ball of red light peeked out of the wall and drifted slowly down to the black stone dais of her throne. Alighting before her, Honturi landed with a soft flutter of cloth and hair. No matter the hour, day, or year, her lover always came at her call. She was beginning to wonder where he was in Negaspace, to ask him, though, would break the bonds of trust upon which their love was founded. Yes, even Beryl herself was still capable of love, it was a sign that Metallia hadn't driven all her humanity away. Behind her the dark crystal that held Metallia's formless shape pulsed with light. Wearing a drab gray uniform with a general's pips, Honturi stood before his queen. He was tall, his black hair tied in a braided ponytail stretching to his lower back. His features were sharp, masculine, his body was well-toned but lacking the ripped look of American bodybuilders. He exuded a quiet, confident strength that seemingly pervaded the very ground he walked upon. Reaching out with his psionic powers he read the distress twisting her soul and pulled her into a passionate embrace. "What is it you wish my queen?" She sobbed into his chest for a while. Thick, vocal sobs that resounded off the cavern walls of her chamber. He stroked her silky hair as she sobbed and cuddled her gently as the tears died down. "I assume you don't need Zoicite anymore since his incompetence is the reason for your distress, do you my love?" He let her melt into his arms and sag slightly down the stone steps. "Y-yes. I have no need for incompetence, he will be broken and eliminated, is that clear?" She tore away and reseated herself, brushing away her tears and smoothing back her hair. "I want you to destroy him yourself, so I am assured success. Afterwards, return to my bedchambers." She turned her back to him, seemingly engrossed in her crystal ball. "As you wish my queen." Spinning on his toe, cherry blossoms twirled around his form as he disappeared into the gloom of Negaspace. --- "Zoicite." He turned towards the voice, craning his neck behind him. Nothing. "Zoicite." Turning around he looked for the speaker, his feminine eyes fluttering in frustration. "Who's there? Did Queen Beryl send you? Show yourself or I'll-URKK!?!?!" A hand reached from the darkness and wrapped itself around his neck, the fingers digging painfully into his windpipe. Zoicite thrashed and struggled impotently against the attacker until he threw a bolt into the air, dislodging his attacker. "Where are you?" He coughed up blood. "Here." Honturi slid from the shadows, hovering two inches off the ground. He turned with feral eyes to his comrade. "What're _you_ doing here? Tired of screwing your whore? Did you come to kill me just to kiss up to her royal bitchiness?" Since he had failed miserably he had no fear of reprisal-he was already dead. "Maybe she just needs more _man_ in her bed at night, hmm? You not _up_ to it?" "Wrong thing to say." Honturi barreled into the androgynous man, sending him flying towards a wall of spikes. The general howled in agony as the serrated edges of stone viciously several vital organs in multiple splatters of gore. He then lightly, playfully pushed Zoicite further along the spikes, eliciting another scream. "I know you can heal fast Zoi-chan, but I'm sure that this still hurts." The sarcastic use of the suffix 'chan' grated on what remained of Zoicite's nerves. "W-what do you w-want? You know I couldn't beat them, I don't even think _you_ could oh high and mighty prince!" "Could I? _Could I_? Of course I could Zoi-chan, I just choose not to. A wise man knows when to pick a fight." He roughly twisted Zoicite's uniform in his fist and wrenched him off the wall. Blood spilled freely on the floor, followed by several fingers. "Ahhh!!!! Alright already! What do you want?!" His long, blond hair, carefully styled to a flossy consistency, was matted with dark splashes of gore. "I'll tell you..." Screams followed into the darkness. --- Morbid shadows pooled in the moonlight of the Negaverse. Queen Beryl infrequently had time for rest or relaxation, let alone the events she had planned for tonight. Once in a great while she would recall her lover from his post in Negaspace, it was a vain attempt to regain the humanity she had lost when Metallia broke free and imprisoned her to the kami's will. Sometimes, late at night, she would regret her decisions and imagine what life would have been like-Honturi, her lover, would probably be the husband for all the lonely senshi. At one point, Queen Serenity declared that her childhood friend Honturi, the most powerful man in the solar system, would marry all the senshi to ensure the happiness of the guards and herself. As the reign of Serenity wore on, several of the senshi were unhappy with the queens marital status and this led to conflicts between them. With the duty of guarding the ruler of the solar system also came loneliness as men believed them to be some type of amazon. After the fall of the Moon Kingdom, however, Beryl enjoyed Honturi's company all to herself, which was in fact the reason for her attack upon the Moon Kingdom, well that and Metallia's command. Said man phased in by the door and kneeled low before entreating on the nude queen's thoughts. "Why do you require permission to enter anata? When have you ever needed my word?" She rose from the satiny sheets and stood nude before the man, who was her husband, her lover. Beryl's nudity didn't bother Honturi nor did it bother the queen as she traced the line of his jaw before kissing him, licking his lips as they parted. "Come to bed." Honturi kept to his thoughts as he released her arms from his iron grip. He disrobed and left his clothes draped over a nearby chair, his muscles rippling as he slid underneath the cool sheets with her. They spent countless hours just lying there in each other's arms, comforting each other; Honturi was used to his wife's disconsolate moods. They were content to simply lie in each other's arms, sharing warmth. Beryl wormed her way into his embrace and just thought about her life, her mistakes, Metallia and her future. After a while they made love repeatedly. Despite her icy looks, her body was warm to the touch, he relished their lovemaking as an afterimage of her old life showed through in the throes of passion. She bucked and writhed in his grip, her body dripping with sweat, in this act she was in complete control. Metallia once took control as they made love and found the exercise, distasteful, as she had no idea what the act truly meant. That one time Honturi had known it was Metallia and not her, the mannerisms, the motions, they pointed to the one truth behind her face. Now, as they finished she slumped onto his chest, savoring the afterglow of their time together. "My wife..." He stroked her sanguine hair, letting her body mold to his. "We should do this more often." "My husband...where do you go when you leave?" It was this time, the time late at night, a dreamy land between sleep and wakefulness, that she spoke her true heart. It was also a sign that Metallia hadn't totally corrupted her. "I fade...I dream of a world after the fall of the Moon Kingdom." He brushed a carmine lock from her eye. "I live and breathe and love, I smell the air, I eat and drink. Why do you ask?" "No reason. I don't watch you out in Negaspace." It was time now, time for the mantel of leadership to fall once more on her shoulders. She pulled away from the warmth of their bed, her navy gown and purple crown once more adorning her. "Now you must leave. I have work to do." "Already?" He rolled his eyes. "Alright..." And with that he was gone. ---Japan, Nerima Ward Ranma Saotome awoke to a cold bed. He had lain in it since the night before, but this morning it was cold-as if he wasn't in it all night. In fact, he wasn't. Like the Sailor Senshi, Ranma retained all memories of his movements as a Negaverse general, and his skills also showed a fluidity never displayed by him before his awakening. Unlike Usagi and Minako, Ranma's remembrance began not with cats, but with dreams. In them, he fought with beautiful women by his side, married all of them, then was forced to watch as they died in a senseless war. He sensed the senshi knew of his existence at least in some small way, perhaps a dream of a memory of the time spent millennia ago. The warming rays of Sol, rising over the staggered horizon, washed across Tokyo, specifically on a certain residence in Juuban. The house in question was modern though with distinct Asian motifs. Enclosing the compound were thick stone walls recently laid with clay shingles. Nodoka Saotome awoke with a renewed sense of purpose. Since her son and husband were no longer astray on the continent, she had to teach Ranma in the ways of the sword. Genma may know more martial arts, but Nodoka had a few tricks up her sleeve that would ensure Ranma's awe and approval. In the furo she went over the details of her training, picking and choosing the methods, katas, and instruction to pass onto her son. It was all so exciting to have her family back. Even if Genma was a mindless fool. After eating and dressing, she found herself before the rear gates of the Tendo Dojo, dressed in a tasteful plum kimono with the Saotome family katana at her side. The sun was just hitting the koi pond in such ways that scintillating beams of light bounced off the reflective surface, creating a startling effect. Kasumi was busy cleaning up after breakfast, so she sat on the deck, waiting for her son's trademark entry phrase. "Stupid old man! He thinks he can just waltz right in here an steal my food, I oughtta..." He noticed the figure sitting on the deck. "Mom?" "Ranma. Come here my son." Kasumi poured them both cups of tea. He ran up the stairs and changed from his workout short-sleeved tang and shorts, to a long sleeve tang and black kung-fu pants. Wobbling down the steps, he rubbed the bruises sustained during yet another clash with Akane. Truly, their relationship was going downhill and showed no signs of hitting bottom, not to mention Genma and Soun's incessant meddling. "What is it Mom?" "Ranma. What would you say if I offered to train you in the Saotome Ryu style of kendo?" She smiled sweetly as Kasumi offered them crackers. "No thank you dear, I just ate." She once more turned her attention to her son. "Well?" "Hmm...this isn't gonna be like oyaji's training is it? No cat-fist or anything right?" "Of course not! I'd never do such a thing to you! You're my son!" Outrage blasted its way across her face. "Well that doesn't mean much, I mean Pops is my dad and he did all that stuff." Nodoka's eyebrow twitched. Noticeably. Even to Kasumi. "Ranma, do you know _any_ kendo or long sword styles?" His mind went back all those eons ago to his sword training in the Moon Kingdom, "Yeah...I know a couple...nothing fancy though." "Want me ta show you?" "Please." She unsheathed the sword and followed her son into the dojo. --- Ami Mizuno usually was an early riser, a living embodiment of the old adage 'the early bird catches the worm.' On this morning however, her sleep went on uninterrupted for two hours longer, and as a result, she had to hurry to get to school. As she walked along the canal she envied the students of Furinkan HS this morning, two months off of school because of some freak gas explosion. The reason for her sleeping trend came in the form of a mysterious stranger that visited her in her dreams. He was handsome and intelligent, with deep blue eyes and a long braided pigtail, he was someone of great import in the Moon Kingdom. As she had the vague idea they were an item. Her heart fluttering, her pulse quickening, a faint blush appearing on her cheeks, the normally reserved Sailor of Mercury recalled the utterly romantic dream of last night. The Moon Palace spread over with decadent tapestries and rugs for the annual senshi ball. The Queen wore her glittering crystal choker, reserved for the most auspicious of occasions. Mercury had come dressed in a gown of water, the material flowing over her body. It was low cut and revealing with the entire expanse of her toned tummy bare to the skin, her skirt fell to her knee extenuating the length of her silky legs. Her partner was one of refinement and power, dressed in a shimmering black tuxedo with a mandarin collar he commanded the respect of those around him. Everyone at the ball bowed to him with a curtsy to his date. Somehow that seemed wrong. The evening was not all that pleasant. The arrival of her husband's other five wives ended the romance for the evening. Somehow...someway...this was all Rei's fault...Ami just knew it. Burning waves of jealousy overwhelmed her logic and she stormed into the school, preparing for the Rei's comeuppance at the next senshi meeting. ---to be continued--- Well, yet another strange piece of crossover fiction. I accepted the challenge of pairing Ranma with Queen Beryl, one that I freely admit is impossible without changing the history of the characters. Questions? Comments? vze2jcwc@verizon.net By the way, if anyone out there reading this happens to like my stories (big 'if') and maintains a fanfiction web site, I'm in dire need. I own a MAC, so I can't post on the RAAC, but I do have several interesting Ranma 1/2 stories. Many of these offer different beginnings or alternate fiancˇes, for instance Kima, Hinako, Nabiki, or Kasumi. If anyone is interested I'd really appreciate it!
