Note: Warning! 'Ranma as a god' story ahead! Where Are We Now? A Ranma/Sailor Moon fusion By Dr. Suekeiichi Kaiton ---Nerima ward, Japan--- Genma Saotome, whose brain could easily fit into a juice box, walked into the Tendo Dojo after stealing a few meals in town. A portly man with a white kerchief covering his gleaming baldness, he was treated to the sight of his family sitting on the deck, their faces rigid in seriousness. Twin bokkens, their blades whittled to splinters, lay between the two sitting. Nodoka's eyes seemed to glaze over, and a ridiculous smile was plastered over her face. Ranma was still a bit busy picking splinters out of his hands. "What happened? Was there an attack?" Genma cried out in fake concern just hoping it wasn't another fiancŽe come to claim her prize, Nodoka would kill him. His wife simply swiveled her head towards him, the glazed expression leaving her face. Something was afoot. "Genma _dear_, would you be so kind as to tell me where Ranma learned my family's style?" Her eyes glinted dangerously, the brows above knitting in annoyance. "As I recall, my family shrine is the only existing place where one could hope to learn my art. Why just five years ago I heard it was robbed by a brigand and their _irreplaceable_ tomes of sword technique stolen. You wouldn't know anything about that now would you Genma?" His face when white, sweat dripping down the back of his gi, if Nodoka found out what would he do? "I-I don't know anything about it Nodoka dear, I don't even know of any shrine in Okayama." He laughed nervously as Ranma joined his mother in her glare. He began to creep closer to the exit as his wife's aura sprang to life. "DIE HUSBAND!!!" She sprang from her crouch with katana unsheathed, Genma scrambling already for the door. Ranma watched with interest as his mother sliced Genma's clothes off and threw him out the door. Smiling, he never told her that their family practiced a style descended from his own, a customized style created for his own weapon, one he created himself. As he watched the ensuing carnage, Ranma's thoughts began to drift back to Altaecia, or as she was known as now, Beryl. He had met Sailor Ganymede during a trip to her planet orbiting Jupiter. Ganymede was once a large planet half the size of Jupiter itself with lush jungles and aquatic habitats, that is until Metallia's forces destroyed half of it, reducing it to satellite size now. Their blast had barely skimmed the surface, as their true objective was the destruction of Icarus, the capital city of Jupiter. Searing the very flesh of the planet, nothing would live on the surface of Jupiter for centuries, that angry red spot glaring back at the Earth. She was the princess of the royal house, a privileged, vain beauty that demanded his every moment of attention. He was Divus Honturi, brother to the House of Serenity. Even with her faults he enjoyed her company, they spent many a night sitting in the intangible darkness of the royal gardens, gazing at the planet beside them. Months were spent together, rarely would the servants or guards find them separate, except when he was in the workshop. His workshop was a subspace rift where he could test new spells or magical charms of base metals safely, he developed Sailor Saturn's attacks there as he created the Silence Glaive. A masterpiece of magical channeling, the metal used was iron, an element known to nullify the effects of magic; he had carefully inserted spells carved into magestone, wrapping them into the iron faŤade. As he created it, he held no fear towards the weapon, a statement which cannot be said for the universe at large. But time ran out on them, something it is wont to do, and the annual meeting of Sailor Senshi was called at the Palace of the Moon, main temple of Serenity. It was a mere two years of paradise for them on Ganymede, cut short as domestic problems encountered by the Senshi intruded into their lives. The senshi were known for scaring men away, a reputation that changed his life forever. The Queen was happily married, and had been for well over three millennia, the same could not be said of her guards. Being the champions of justice for the ruler of the solar system does tend to scare away potential relationships, a problem compounded by the dangers inherent to accepting the mantel of marriage to a known political figure. Only one course of action could halt the self-destructive behavior of the guardians, polygamous marriage. The marriage must be to an immortal like the queen herself, one of her lineage able to exist under normal conditions indefinitely. Raising from her dais, the fledgling princess at her side, Queen Serenity clapped her hands. Once. Silence prevailed throughout the din escalating in the chamber. Over the course of the next few months the Queen called royalty gathered from the farthest reaches of the frontier as potential grooms for her chosen. Eventually all were rejected. It became a quarrel, Venus thought he was better looking than him, Saturn liked whom Mercury liked but Pluto didn't, it was just complete and utter chaos. Finally he had interjected on Altaecia's behalf. He was in fact the 23rd brother of the Queen (several times removed), and a member of her elite Trigan Guard, a fighting force composed of specialized warriors trained for the protection of the Queen. After ten years in the Trigan Corps he received their highest decoration, the legendary Cosmic Xenosol. Said to have been wielded by the solar hero Marduk along side the Queen Mother against the devil god Tiamat, the Cosmic Xenosol was composed of the same basic materials as the ginzuishou. These three elements could only attain their full power when merged as one, separately they held no power whatsoever. That weapon was now held in his subspace pocket, along with both his Trigan Corps and Dark General's uniforms. "Come back here Genma!!!!" Nodoka's auburn hair came undone in a tight curve, prompting her to stop before the mirror in the hall and pin it back. After doing this she sat back down and finished her cup of tea which Kasumi had set out earlier. Sighing once at the injustices of being a traditional woman, she unsheathed her katana once more and ran back to the chase. Ranma just sat impassively watching the carnage done to his father's body, wondering what the fallout would be from this confrontation. "Ranma." His mother had returned from her chase, depositing Genma at Dr. Tofu's office for stitches. "Pack up your things, you can say goodbye to everyone tonight at dinner. As of tomorrow morning you are living at home, you will finish your school year at Juuban High. Genma may remain here." He nodded to her, taken aback by her decision but a bit grateful that some of the craziness surrounding him would disappear in a new town. She tied her silken bundle and went into the kitchen to prepare dinner. ---Minato ward, Cherry Blossom Park. Late afternoon--- Things did not go well for the senshi. A youma had materialized in the park just as their senshi meeting had disbanded, Sailor Mars being the first down the hill from the temple. The youma was composed of ooze, leaving an acidic slime trail wherever it went, most of them had superficial chemical burns from the creature's arms. Mars, Jupiter, and Venus fought the gelatinous thing's failing arms while Sailor Moon stood at the sidelines, waiting for Mercury to pinpoint the youma's weakness. They had already tried freezing it with no visible affect, it just burned through the ice and scorched Mercury's blouse. "C'mon Mercury! Hurry up, that things got Mars and Venus down!" Usagi was hopping from one foot to the next, waiting impatiently for Ami's computer to finish it's computations. Jupiter was now fighting it hand to hand, her boots and gloves refusing to yield to the monster's acidic drizzlings, as the only senshi with a measure of martial arts skill, Makoto was determined to succeed where her fallen teammates had failed. It was easier said than done when her punches merely passed through its body, leaving vacuous bubbles in their wake. "Wait a minute, my computer says the weakest parts are the arms. Jupiter! Aim for the elbows!" Mercury set down the handheld, letting loose with Shabon Spray, allowing Jupiter a window of opportunity. "SUPREME THUNDER!" Wiry bolts of lightning crackled across the park, setting grass ablaze, only to home in on the youma's semi-gelatinous limbs, tearing them to droplets of goo. Screaming in outrage, the monster charged headfirst after Makoto, burning the very ground in it's wake. "Sailor Moon! Now!" Usagi plucked the tiara from her head, spinning on a toe before yelling her attack. "MOON TIARA...ACTION!!!" Usagi threw the spinning disk of gold at the creature, slicing through its neck and burning the gel to ashes. As the headband returned to her, she reached out to grab it...only to be struck down by a wave of dark energy. Shock penetrated her form as her body was thrown backward, bouncing twice before coming to a halt. "Sailor Moon!" Mercury's eyes followed the blast path of the shot that had cut a swath through the pavement, falling on a long haired man floating three feet off the ground. "Jupiter! Sailor Moon's down!" At the mere mention of those words Mars awoke, gingerly pushing off the stone, favoring her left side. Her eyes went from Usagi's still smoking form to the Dark General floating off the ground. Fire ignited within her soul, no matter how much of a brat Usagi was, no matter how much she ate, no matter how much she found her princess annoying, Mars was living to protect her. As she gathered herself together, the stranger had blown Makoto into a brick water fountain. "You bastard! FIRE SOUL!!!!" A twisting snake of flames lashed out, lapping at his heels. Seemingly unconcerned, he pulled out a jagged sword made out of glimmering mirrored silver, pulling back for a blow that was sure to hurt. Mars barely noticed the weapon before a flash of purple energy lanced pain down her arm, breaking her arm in two. Seeing dark splotches in her field of vision, she cursed her weakness before succumbing to unconsciousness. The general moved forward, stabbing once down on Venus' prone body, leaving her in a crater a meter deep, blood dripping down her chin before Tuxedo Mask made his move. A red rose, thorns shimmering in the setting sun, drew from his sleeve. Drawing back his arm for the throw he was completely unprepared for the haymaker his opponent hit him with; the rose fell, laying crumpled next to Sailor Moon's still form. Snarling in rage, his nightstick appeared at his side just in time to smash his opponent's face. "Get away from them!" A sword fight began now, cane against sword, neither opponent giving an inch. Mamoru slashed with his weapon, slicing through air with every attack, while the opponent dug deep gashes in his flesh. It became clear after a few moments that Mamoru was seriously outclassed and weakening, his blows becoming sloppy and trifling, it came as no surprise when the general knocked his weapon away and shot a ball of dark energy point blank. Tuxedo Mask fell to the ground in a soggy pile, face broken and bleeding. Then he turned to Mercury. "I am Magnatite, commanding general of Mettalia's forces. You are Sailor Mercury, so now we know one another." He bleamed a deceptively friendly grin towards the sole senshi standing, his massive sword hanging at a hip. He noticed her fear and gestured to his victims with his sword. "I only attacked those that attacked me. Know that I could destroy all of you right now, right here but I won't." He materialized right in front of her, his lithe frame settling on the pebbles of asphalt underfoot. She was paralyzed with fear, her knees wobbling under her own weight, eyes glossing over with tears. "W-what do y-you want?" She looked him in the face, angular features twisting into a wry smile. "You aren't strong enough to fight me, give me any challenge," he moved closer, her blue bow brushing his gray tunic, "therefore I will wait. You have others that could give me a workout, so I'll wait to play with them." He framed her chin in his hands, gloved digits caressing her flesh. Trembling in fright, Ami's mind shut down as he leaned forward, kissing her passionately on the lips, his tongue reaching forward into her mouth. He caught her limp form, laying it gently on the ground. He eyes then went to Sailor Moon, and the ginzuishou. He cast a blind spot around himself to avoid prying eyes. He knelt at her side, smoothing out her disheveled blond bangs. "My little niece, you will save us all...with my help." He kissed her moon symbol, which briefly spun with power, and touched the Silver Imperium Crystal with a bare finger. Blinding white light poured from his being, siphoned into the crystal and infusing the girl's body with raw power. He took his leave then, phasing back to Beryl, just as the wave of healing energies washed over the broken scouts. Far away...farther than anyone could hear save one, a certain emerald-haired woman moaned in her sleep, a single tear falling to her pillow. ---Dark Kingdom, Mettalia's chambers--- "Beryl..." "Yes my queen." She knelt before the altar built upon the marble walkway. Her sanguine hair falling down around her. "What is your wish mistress?" "You waste too much time engaging in these...activities...with your generals." The shadow played across the room, mouth agape at some unforeseen horizon. "You must increase the input of energy! I still am denied my body." "Yes my queen, I will send Kunzite to gather more crystals." She stood and motioned to the door, her high-heels tapping rhythmically on the polished floor. "Wait!!!! I have not dismissed you!" Mettalia's voice rose to near deafening levels, her wraith wavering with the expended energy. It grinned sadistically. "You and your general certainly create enough energy during your activities, triple that of normal, perhaps there is a way we can exploit that." "How do you suggest we do that my liege?" "Send Amethyst to the Earth realm, have Magnatite assist her in collecting such energy. It will expedite my freedom." The amorphous cloud giggled, bubbling like sludge from the deepest swamps, then began gathering itself back into the crystal that was its prison. "You may go now." "Thank you my queen." She knelt once again before opening the doors and slipping out into the hall. Oleaginous darkness slinked along the floors, stopped only by the faint pinpricks of light cast across the corridors. Her spirits dropped even further down to the abyss as Amethyst slinked up to her. "So what did Mettalia have to say queenie?" Amethyst was short, about five feet six inches, with long shapely legs, a plump rear end, large breasts, and a heart-shaped face. Her brownish-blond hair was pulled back in a ponytail which reached her waist, dangling freely as she walked. "Another job for me?" "Yes, Mettalia wants to gather energy from people as they...indulge...themselves physically." Beryl's very face displayed her disgust at the plan, luckily she wasn't the one to lower herself to carry it out. She smirked as thoughts of Amethyst ravaged and left to die raced through her head. "Take a group of female youma and establish your operation. In a few days I'll send Magnatite down to assist you." Her face, downcast as her assignment was given to her, brightened at the mere mention of the name 'Magnatite.' "Honturi? Really?" She squealed in delight, usually he was off in his post, disappeared, or with Beryl; any time with him was bliss, as he _was_ her husband. The tension between her and Beryl was legendary to the youma, a tale of their queen forced to abide her lover's other wife for fear of reprisal. "Where?" "You can go later after you assemble a team. You have your orders." Beryl sauntered down to her throne room, she had to tell Honturi...sometime. But not tonight. ---Minato ward, Juuban Junior High. The next morning--- Makoto and Ami had met that morning at the school gates, completely by accident. After making meaningless small talk, Makoto dragged Ami behind the main entrance to the janitor's toolshed. It turned out all she wanted to know was what had happened after she'd been knocked out. "So what happened? I don't remember anything after being knocked into the fountain until you woke me up. Who was that guy?" Ami blushed. "He said his name was Magnatite, commanding general. He's the one that hurt Minako so badly and gave Mamoru that black eye." She hadn't told anyone about her kiss, nor what he had done to Usagi. "Before Usagi healed all of us with the Silver Imperium Crystal, his face was all broken and bleeding, Minako was crushed and Rei had her arm broken! I don't know how he did it!" Mako-chan whistled. "Wow, he was sure powerful! Why didn't he kill us then?" Her interest was clearly piqued. "W-well he said that we were weak and that he wanted a good fight..." "And?" "And what?" "He must've done _something_ to you! You did say you were on the ground, so what'd he do? Blast you with that sword of his?" Makoto looked ready to kill the stranger, if she could. "No...h-he...kissed me." There. She had said it, now they'd all know and she would be teased for weeks to come. "He touched Usagi and the Silver Imperium Crystal too, I think he gave her the power to heal all of us." "He kissed you!?" Mako-chan drew back, shock registering on her face. Ami had the good consciousness to blush profusely under her friends scrutiny. Just then Usagi jumped in, curious why they hadn't gone into the building yet. "Who kissed you Ami? Was it Umino?" She looked about ready to puke right there if it had been. "No! That dark general did! Right after he smashed Mamoru's face! Isn't that right?" Makoto spun around, pulling Ami to meet Usagi's incredulous face. "Y-yes. H-he also said something about being Usagi's uncle," Ami offered, eager to step out of the spotlight. "Maybe we should ask Luna if Usagi has any uncles that would have done...that." "Done what? You mean kissed you?" Just as the words left her mouth, the school bell rang to signal homeroom had begun. "Damn! And it was just getting good!" Mako-chan ran off, waving goodbye until lunch. Usagi and Ami reluctantly plodded to class, knowing Haruna-sensei would make them stand outside with buckets. Fortunately Haruna-sensei hadn't noticed their absence since a young man from Juuban High School next door had come in to speak. Both took their seats without alerting their enthralled classmates to their presence. It was a tall boy about 6'1 with gray-blue eyes and raven hair tied in a pigtail, he looked to be about seventeen, an idea proven when he offered to teach a martial arts class at Juuban High next door. Juuban Junior High, Juuban High, Shibakouen, T&A, and Mugen Gakuen all were situated in a ten block radius of each other, with Juuban High in the centre. This was quite beneficial to have all the senshi in one area, especially as Rei and Minako didn't have to travel miles to reach a senshi meeting, Usagi, Ami, and Makoto likewise. The boy went on to explain that the class would be in self-defense and basic kempo and would be given free-of-charge by Juuban High. Ami's ears perked up as he said that, it must mean they consider the area dangerous with all the youma attacks recently. The young man left shortly, carrying the hearts of many girls out with him. He moved on to Makoto's homeroom. ---Mugen Gakuen High School, homeroom--- Haruka was draped over two seats in the back of her class as the teacher read the attendance. Michiru just sat across the room, desperately trying to finish her homework. Then _he_ walked in. Tall, handsome with gray-blue eyes and raven hair. The teacher seemed to be expecting him as he moved from his desk, allowing the boy room to speak. "Good morning!" "Good morning," replied the class, well, all except Haruka. She kept staring at the boy, something felt off about him. He felt...feminine. "My name is Ranma Saotome, I'm a senior at Juuban High next door. I've come to post a sign-up sheet for a martial arts class I'll be teaching after school for the rest of the year. It is free of charge as a public service provided by Juuban High. The class will be held from five to seven at the Juuban High School auditorium, be sure to bring loose clothes, a gi if you have one." Haruka listened up to that point, the rest was boring as he went into the techniques he would teach during the last semester of the year. She couldn't quiet put her finger on it, but he seemed familiar. A dream came to her from last night, she was dressed in sienna cloth at a royal ball. Strange planets drifted by in the sky and the ocean was yellow, Michiru was there dressed in flowing material of sea blue color. Haruka blushed as memories of her...night activities...with Michiru came to mind. They weren't married, though there was a type of bond between them, perhaps it was that they were married to the same man. A tall, dapper looking man in a black tuxedo with a mandarin collar surprised her from behind and surprised her even more as he kissed her lips, sneaking his tongue between her own. The dream became hopelessly convoluted after that, a war broke out and Michiru was killed, her husband had left, she was forced into slavery then killed for disobedience. She shivered at how real some aspects were. "Thank you for your time, the sign-up sheet will be posted in the lobby." The man walked out, causing a similar scene as he had at Juuban Junior High. Michiru smiled at Haruka, knowing she felt the same, there was something very odd about that man, something that aroused her even if she didn't like men. They vowed to see what his class had to offer. ---T&A Academy, homeroom--- Ranma walked into the first homeroom at his last school with a certain amount of trepidation, even though he didn't have any classes today he still felt something was off in the air. It seemed...charged with magical energies, as if one stray bolt could explode the entire area. T&A was renowned as the most strict all-girl's school in the country, fifty-two percent of their graduates went on to Tokyo University, and for some strange reason he felt that most of his class would be made from their students. Rei was sitting at the back of the room, staring at her crows outside the window. Cougar and Dark flew around in circles, making her green with envy with their freedom, they landed on a tree branch not two feet away from her window, staring at her with intelligent eyes. She remembered the dream she'd had last night. It had started in the Moon Palace, decadent drapes and carpets limned the halls and bedrooms of the royal family. It was the Queen's anniversary, an auspicious occasion to dance and make merry in the dark times of Mettalia's threat. Serenity had never seemed more radiant than that night as she wore her crystal choker that shocked even the wealthiest of lords. Eidymon wore a jet black tuxedo, a red rose adorning his lapel. The dance floor was alive with the echoes of heels tapping on it's marble surface, Rei was standing off to the side with a gaggle of women nervously checking their dresses for lint or dust. Gazing out at the dancing couples she caught her husband, a tall man with a raven pigtail dancing with Mercury garbed in flowing water. Rei herself was wearing a gown made of fire, a thin layer of flame that hid places most men shouldn't see in public. "Honturi-kun! Over here!" She'd shouted as the dance winded down. As the words left her mouth she regretted shouting his five other wives noticed his arrival and began waving and calling him over. If she hadn't known better she'd swear Mercury gave her an evil eye. The seven wives had established a pattern, their husband would take each one in order first to a royal function then take the next as his first dance, second, ad infinitum. Tonight he had brought Mercury, but it was Mars turn for first dance. As they wove in and out of the huddled crowds to the tune of the finest waltz, he leaned into her clothes, the flames producing no effect, and kissed her on the balcony where he had steered her as they danced. She melted as his hands stroked her body and lighted her libido, her head falling back as he slowly kissed down her neck, gentle caresses of breath toying with her hunger for him. Suddenly Venus came in, her face displeased and fingers playing with the fabric of her dress. As he gave her a resigned glance, she knew it was all Minako's fault. At her teacher's insistence, Rei was broken from her remembrance because the selfsame man, Honturi she knew, was standing before her class and saying something about martial arts? "...We will be studying Kempo and Akido for self-defense for the remainder of this year. All who want to can come as I said it was free. It's at five to seven tonight at Juuban High's auditorium. Wear loose clothes or a gi if you have one." With that he walked out before Rei could ask him who he was. ---To be continued--- I hope by now you realize that Magnatite, Honturi, and Ranma are one in the same. Three personas for three different worlds, but they all are the same person. I hope you enjoyed the fight scene, it was one of the most difficult parts to write in this chapter. As of right now Ranma has gained the attention of Ami, Makoto, Rei, Haruka, and Michiru. Setsuna and Hotaru will be featured in the next chapter as he meets Pluto after 25,000 years, will he like what happened to his childhood friend? And how will she react to her changed "Honto-chan?" Side note: Haruka and Michiru _are_ having a relationship and yes they are lesbians. In the Moon Kingdom they were lovers but had to be married to a man, the logical solution being married to the same one. Now that their husband has his Jusenkyo curse you can expect them to be much happier with the arraignment. Anyone want to be a pre-reader? Send C&C to Dr. Suekeiichi Kaiton vze2jcwc@verizon.net
