Ranma Idea

The Amazons have three death-crystals, entrusted to the three "wisest"
of the Amazon Elders, which Cologne is one.

A death-crystal is a crystal that sucks in all of a person's ki, thus
killing that person within minutes, much like a ki vampire. Also the
user is not immune to the death-crystal's effects. Thus, a
death-crystal is a suicide weapon. There is no cure or protection
against direct touch of the death-crystal.

The Amazons have used the death-crystal, never more than two at a
time, against their greatest enemies, usually very powerful evil
sorcerers and the like.

Several very powerful Amazon Elders and ki masters too powerful to die
in a conventional manner also have used a death-crystal to commit
suicide with.

For some reason, Mousse feels that Ranma must be stop at all cost.
Knowing that he can't do it on his own, he 'borrows' Cologne's
death-crystal.

Cologne and Shampoo arrive in time to see Mousse throwing the
death-crystal at Ranma. Shampoo distracts Ranma enough that he can't
dodge the death-crystal, so without knowing what it is, he blocks it.
Upon touching Ranma, the crystal explodes and they're a flash of
light.

The light clears, Mousse is dead, and Ranma is only unconscious, much
to the surprise of Cologne. Ranma is taken to Tofu-sensei's. There
both Cologne and Tofu note that Ranma's ki is in a high flux, and
remains so for seven days.

On the eighth day, Ranma awakes up... all the stored
ki/memories/techniques/etc of the death-crystal is now merged with
Ranma. He know now magic and very powerful techniques that cover the
period that the death-crystal has existed.
